Writing

"What" Sketch Show
After moving to Hollywood to pursue acting, something happened along the way... Darrin fell in love with the art of writing. It all began when he was working with the improv group "Stuck in the Attic." The group had performed improv for a year and asked themselves "What's Next?" and out of that question came the sketch show "What?" where the entire group wrote and performed their show to sold out crowds.

"Rehab"
With eagerness Darrin wanted to move forward with more writing and approached the group to write a sitcom and pitched the group several ideas. Out of the group Nikole Hollentisch and Silvia McClure came on as writers and producers with the rest of the group as cast members. This lead to the pilot "Rehab" which was created and conceived by Darrin. After shooting two episodes it became clear that he was ready to move on to the pursuit of an actual writing career.

"Con-Sequences: The Web Series"
Darrin wanted to do something big - as big as he could. He created his next project - Con-Sequences: The Web Series. ConSequences is a dark comedy about 8 ex-convicts court-ordered to attend a support group that will help them reintegrate back into every day life. Darrin went to Kickstarter and raised $3000 for 10 - 10 minute episodes. The series has done well on blip.tv and has won and award from LA Webfest in 2012 for best supporting actor - Ashley Knaysi.

Stand-Up

Human Me-Sources
After doing stand-up, Darrin had ideas that led him to pursue writing a solo show. He took a class taught by Solo Show Artist Carla Cackowski. Darrin's show is about how working in Human Resources for 10 years ruined him as a person. It's a journey of life, love and loss through the eyes of Human Resources. Darrin has performed both a 10 minute and 30 minute version of the story and is finishing up an hour version as well as a possible book. Keep an eye out for future performances.

Currently Darrin has several pilots (drama's, sitcom's, dramadies & web series) that he is in the process of completing. But his love for the stage keeps him currently working on stage shows as well including a one person show, a comedic theater piece and a two person sketch show with his friend Alexis Simpson.

Check back ofter for more updates as he continues to lose sleep by trying to tackle as much as he can.
